Impulse ready for take-off in air fare war

Seven years of airline duopoly end on Monday when Impulse Airlines turns its market battle plan into reality, launching $139 unrestricted, one-way fares between Sydney and Melbourne.
The Newcastle-based carrier believes it will offer the cheapest unconditional fares, particularly those used by most business travellers on Australia's busiest domestic route.
