Horse breeders threaten legal action in Racing NSW stoush
Angry thoroughbred breeders have warned the NSW government that its plan to extend Racing NSW chairman Russell Balding’s term to 14 years potentially breaches legislation and could be subject to legal challenge.
Thoroughbred Breeders NSW wrote to Premier Chris Minns and Racing Minister David Harris on Sunday warning of potential grounds for litigation if they proceed with a plan to extend the maximum statutory terms on the Racing NSW board, dragging the Minns government deeper into a stoush dividing the top rungs of racing.
