Gold explorer says Victoria's royalty hike is 'only fair'

Victoria's plan to impose a new royalty on gold production has found support from an unlikely source; one of the state's most persistent gold explorers.
Navarre Minerals managing director Geoff McDermott said the shock royalty slug was "not a big deal" and would not convince his company to change its exploration plans at all.
