NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian's decision to knock down and rebuild two stadiums is emerging as a crucial test not only of her judgment but also of Sydney broadcaster Alan Jones.
The pork barrelling plan to reconstruct both the ANZ Stadium, the venue for the Sydney 2000 Olympics, and the Allianz Stadium, in Moore Park in Sydney's eastern suburbs, has provoked hostility out of proportion to the $800 million it will cost the budget.
