Israel has no choice but to go “all out” in Gaza, billionaire property developer and philanthropist John Gandel says, adding that Australia’s Jewish community is anxious that the public mood and support for Israel will wane as it escalates its retaliation against Hamas.
“There’s sort of no choice. If they don’t go all out it means they withdraw. They can’t do it gently,” Mr Gandel told AFR Weekend.
