Frydenberg opens door to GST fix for rapid tests

The federal Treasurer says the power to axe the GST for at-home COVID-19 test kits rests with the states and territories, as the consumer watchdog puts price gougers on notice.

Josh Frydenberg has said it is up to the states to agree on scrapping the GST for the crucial rapid antigen tests but NSW has handballed the issue back to the federal government, pointing out that the Morrison government has the final say.
