Zempilas’ campaign manager quits after stoking WA Liberal crisis

The campaign manager of potential West Australian Liberal leader Basil Zempilas has stepped down from the role ahead of the state election after it was revealed his company commissioned polling that triggered a crisis for the current party head.

Marketing company boss Cam Sinclair said on Thursday he would not run Mr Zempilas’ bid for parliament at the March state election, and apologised to party officials for his role in a scandal that engulfed the Liberals this week.
