‘Beyond our capacity’: Wong warns Australians in Lebanon

The Albanese government has upped its warning for people to leave Lebanon while commercial means still exist, saying there is insufficient capacity to evacuate all Australian citizens under its contingency plan.

Foreign Minister Penny Wong stepped up the warning as former Israel Defence Forces spokesman Jonathon Conricus said Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport would be on Israel’s target list.
