Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk won't reopen Queensland's borders for domestic travel while community transmissions of COVID-19 continue in southern states.

Rejecting calls from her NSW counterpart Gladys Berejiklian for an end to border restrictions to boost economic activity and pressure on ease supply chains, Ms Palaszczuk described the risk as too great.
