Sydney Uni chancellor urges sector to 'speak up'

Sydney University chancellor and leading businesswoman Belinda Hutchinson says she has grave concerns about the Jobs-ready Graduates package, saying it jeopardises billions of dollars in research and urging the government not to "rush the bill through parliament".

Ms Hutchinson told vice-chancellors and education leaders at The Australian Financial Review Higher Education Summit that she had "concerns" about the university legislation and was "very concerned" about university research funding.
