Union bill on track to pass, with or without Setka
Government legislation to allow the deregistration of rogue unions and officials is on track to pass Parliament with the government understood to have agreed to changes requested by the Centre Alliance party.
This leaves it needing the support of either One Nation or Jacqui Lambie, the former of which is undecided while Senator Lambie remains determined to vote for the bill while John Setka remains at the helm of the Victorian division of the CFMEU.
