Police investigate foreign agitators over antisemitic attacks

Police are investigating if criminals are being paid by foreign agitators based in the Middle East to whip up antisemitic hatred in Australia, as well as the possible radicalisation of young people online to target Jews.

State and federal police commissioners will hold crisis talks on Wednesday, a day after Prime Minister Anthony Albanese bowed to pressure to convene talks with state premiers to discuss the rapid escalation of attacks on the Jewish community following the October 7 terror attacks on Israel.
