Teal seats vote Yes but Libs unperturbed
The nation’s resounding endorsement of Peter Dutton’s opposition to the Indigenous Voice to parliament has been tempered by at least four of the all-important teal independent seats being among the few to vote Yes on Saturday.
But Liberal Party strategists were unperturbed, saying the rejection of the referendum proposals in Labor heartland seats, many of which will be targeted by the Coalition at the next election, was of equal, if not greater, significance.
