Hundreds of millions of dollars could be unlocked within weeks for infrastructure and transport projects the states want to bring forward to help dig Australia out of the economic downturn.

In an interview with The Australian Financial Review, the Infrastructure Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack said the federal government's $100 billion infrastructure program was intact despite coronavirus taking a wrecking ball to the budget.
