Reynolds ‘shook, cried’ in chamber amid targeted political attacks
Marise Payne says her former Senate colleague Linda Reynolds visibly shook in the chamber, cried and showed signs of trauma amid extreme pressure from political opponents during the Brittany Higgins saga.
The former foreign affairs minister told the WA Supreme Court that Senator Reynolds was put under such “enormous” pressure in parliament in the days after Ms Higgins’ rape allegations were made public that she was unable to answer questions during question time.
