This time last year, there was considerable argument among The Australian Financial Review Magazine’s Power panel about whether Anthony Albanese should even make the top 10, such was his struggle for relevance.

Similarly willing was the discussion about whether then-prime minister Scott Morrison should be numbered one on the overt Power list.
