Queensland to make up Victoria’s gas shortfall this winter

Southern states led by Victoria face a gas shortfall this winter which will make them reliant on supply piped from Queensland and the Northern Territory to keep the heating on.
Demand for gas is highest in the winter months when households ramp up heating use and gas-power generation is needed because of a lack of solar and wind generation.
