Private hospital operators to hand over profitability data
Private hospital operators have agreed to hand over sensitive commercial information about the cost and profitability of individual facilities and medical procedures, as part of a major review into the $22 billion sector.
Data about break-even points and investability is due to be handed to the Health Department by next week, The Australian Financial Review has learnt, under the “health check” processes launched by Health Minister Mark Butler and due to report back by August 20.
