'Pressured' Victorian health officials abandoned COVIDSafe app

Victorian health officials stopped accessing data from the COVIDSafe app during the state's coronavirus outbreak despite experts saying higher infection rates would increase its effectiveness.
Appearing before the parliamentary inquiry into the government's COVID-19 response on Tuesday, Health Department secretary Dr Brendan Murphy said contact tracers felt "so pressured they decided not to use the app".
