PM warns of ‘cold shadow of antisemitism’ on October 7 anniversary

Anthony Albanese has warned of the cold shadow of antisemitism ahead of the one-year anniversary of Hamas’ incursion into Israel on October 7 last year in which about 1200 people were killed and a further 250 taken hostage.

The prime minister will attend a vigil in Melbourne on Monday night, and Opposition Leader Peter Dutton will attend an event in Sydney. Greens Party leader Adam Bandt will be in Canberra preparing for parliament, which will sit for three days from Tuesday.
