PM promises major Indigenous economic plan
Anthony Albanese is pledging to deliver the first comprehensive economic policy for Indigenous Australians, telling a major cultural festival that the Voice to parliament’s defeat must not delay efforts to close the disadvantage gap.
Addressing the Garma Festival in Arnhem Land on Saturday, the prime minister will tell Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders his determination to see the country more united and more reconciled has grown, despite the thumping loss of last year’s referendum.
