About 100 Lismore residents waited over an hour in the heat and humidity outside the city council chambers for a chance to speak to Prime Minister Scott Morrison during his visit to the flood-ravaged city on Wednesday.
But they did not get their chance. A line of police separated the protesters from Mr Morrison when he arrived and entered the rear of the building to meet local mayors and then hold a press conference.
