Payman announces ‘a party for all’, but wants alignment on Israel-Gaza

Labor defector Fatima Payman will lead a political party called Australia’s Voice to the federal election, promising to field candidates in the House of Representatives and Senate whose values align with her own, including on the Israel-Gaza conflict.

The West Australian senator who quit Labor in July over its stance on Palestinian statehood said policies were still to come for the new party, but referred to her recent speeches on reforming negative gearing, capital gains tax, aged care reforms and childcare changes as a guide to her priorities.
