Telstra has revealed that Optus botched another email address when informing authorities of its fatal September 18 Triple Zero call failures, underscoring the failure of the Singaporean-owned telco group’s systems as it suffered another mobile service outage.
Users of Optus’s mobile phone services in Victoria’s Frankston and Mornington Peninsula regions could not make regular phone calls on Wednesday morning after a fibre cable was cut in a Telstra pit, which holds telecommunications cables.
