NSW has declared a state of emergency for the "catastrophic" bushfire threat, as the country braced for another week of devastating bushfires that have already killed three people and destroyed more than 150 homes.
As over 60 fires burn across NSW, the state's rural fire service said it would not be able to contain the danger before Tuesday, when temperatures over 38 degrees and extreme wind are expected to exacerbate the spread of flames.
