NSW premier avoids challenge but loses minister
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian avoided a challenge to her leadership but lost a minister, at least temporarily, to an independent investigation into the circumstances of property investments near new train lines.
Sports, Multiculturalism, Seniors and Veterans Minister John Sidoti said he had agreed to step aside while he is investigated by the Independent Commission Against Corruption, which asked Ms Berejiklian on Monday to halt an inquiry by her department so it can take over.
