No new cases as ‘missing link’ is found

Queensland authorities were beaming on Good Friday after the state reported no community transmission and revealed the missing link that triggered Brisbane’s first cluster was found. NSW reported no new local or hotel quarantine cases from 20,000 tests.

Eight new cases of COVID-19 from 35,357 tests were reported a day after a snap three-day lockdown was lifted. Seven cases were in hotel quarantine and one was deemed a historical case which linked the PA Hospital to a gentleman in Brisbane’s northern suburbs in what’s become known as the city’s first cluster.
