MYEFO finds $10b in savings to ease pressure on inflation: Gallagher

The mid-year budget update to be released on Wednesday will claw back almost $10 billion in savings as the government seeks to minimise pressure on inflation.
But at least more than half, or $5.2 billion, will be spent on what Finance Minister Katy Gallagher says are “unavoidable spending measures” for which she blames the former Coalition government.
