Morrison’s $660m car park fund ‘sports rorts on an industrial scale’
A $660 million Morrison government fund for commuter car parks has been slammed for failing to deliver value for money, failing to deliver projects based on merit, and being influenced by political considerations.
The approach to identifying and selecting projects was not appropriate, a review by the Australian National Audit Office found, and decisions were based on “the geographic and political profile” of applicants.
