Mental health at risk as COVID-19 panic grows

The uncertainty of the COVID-19 crisis might cause a secondary outbreak of mental illness as people suffer mental distress and anxiety in the face of the unknown and social isolation, experts have said.
The uncertainty of pandemics often resulted in people feeling anxious, confused, angry and helpless, said Phoenix Institute Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health director Professor David Forbes.
