Australians returning from overseas will be forced into quarantine for two weeks at hotels in the cities where they arrived, under the latest government restrictions to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
The new rule — to be imposed on all arrivals by air from Saturday night — is expected to affect thousands of travellers and will be enforced by state police forces backed by the Australian Defence Force.
