The Morrison government has charged a new expert panel with leading the design of an Indigenous voice to Parliament, prioritising local decision-making in the new body to be established through legislation.

Respected Indigenous leaders Marcia Langton and Tom Calma have been appointed to lead the new co-design process, while separate regional panels will work at the local level around Australia.
