Labor won’t pursue negative gearing changes, Shorten predicts

Former Labor leader Bill Shorten says he is sure the government will not take changes to property investor tax breaks to the next election, despite Anthony Albanese and Jim Chalmers keeping the option alive for a third straight day.
Labor MPs have also been issued with talking points designed not to rule out changes to either the 50 per cent capital gains tax concession for investors or negative gearing.
