- NSW recorded 1480 new cases of COVID-19. An unvaccinated man in his 20s with serious underlying health conditions was among nine deaths.

- Regional Victoria will be allowed out of lockdown from 11:59pm tomorrow night, except Greater Shepparton.

- 200 Victorians stuck at camps on the Vic-NSW border will be able to return home and quarantine at home under a limited trial.

- Canberra recorded 20 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, after reporting 19 yesterday. Nine of the new cases are linked.

- The NRL grand final will be moved from Sydney to Brisbane. The NSW government officially told the NRL it cannot host the game due to the COVID-19 situation. The expected alternative venue, yet to be formally announced, is Lang Park in Brisbane.
