‘It’s going to take time’: Bondi mourns as retail goes into limbo
Bondi Junction’s main strip was enveloped in a sombre quiet on Thursday as hundreds queued to enter the Westfield shopping centre for the first time since it closed on Saturday, when a lone assailant killed six people and injured 12 others in a mass stabbing attack.
Many wore black for the centre’s day of reflection, declared by Westfield owner Scentre Group. Attendees included NSW Premier Chris Minns, federal Wentworth MP Allegra Spender and Scentre chief executive Elliott Rusanow.
