How to own a fragment of Pollock’s Blue Poles... for just $2190
The first time Blue Poles went on show, the painting was a distinct flop. Now considered one of Jackson Pollock’s masterpieces, the monumental canvas failed to sell in a 1952 exhibition at New York’s Sidney Janis Gallery, and was left rolled up in an unlocked stairwell for a year.
Worth as much as $500 million today and arguably the country’s most famous artwork, fragments of Blue Poles’ DNA are being offered for sale for the first time, in limited edition prints and as digital assets known as non-fungible tokens (NFT).
