China slams Hastie for 'deplorable' Cold War thinking

Beijing has rebuked Liberal MP Andrew Hastie for calling out China’s disruptive behaviour, accusing him of Cold War bias and warning it is damaging ties between Australia and China.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison moved to contain any fallout by downplaying Mr Hastie's critique as nothing new and stressing the MP, who chairs Parliament's influential intelligence committee, was speaking as a backbencher.
