Greens rebuffed on key carbon demand

Federal Resources Minister Martin Ferguson has used a report by the Productivity Commission to reject a key demand from the Greens for more support for renewable energy in negotiations over a carbon price.
Speaking after a national energy ministers meeting in Perth on Friday, Mr Ferguson said state and territory governments would need to rationalise a range of renewable energy incentives once a price was introduced.
