‘Gina effect’: Gallery got 25pc bump after Rinehart portrait gripe

Visitor numbers for an exhibition by Archibald Prize-winning artist Vincent Namatjira soared 25 per cent after it was revealed Gina Rinehart complained about a portrait of her included in the show.
The mining magnate is one of more than 20 subjects in the Indigenous artist’s Australia in Colour exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia.
