Environment Minister Sussan Ley will rally business leaders to better manage products considered difficult or impossible to recycle, amid greater than expected investment in an $800 million modernisation fund.

Clothing textiles, oil containers, children’s car seats, single-use plastics and electronics are already on a priority list for challenging waste products in Australia, with industry, universities and consumers asked to nominate new additions for the 2022 instalment.
