Frydenberg not running in Kooyong

Former federal treasurer Josh Frydenberg will not contest his former seat of Kooyong at the next election, paving the way for a new Liberal candidate to take on independent Monique Ryan.

His absence will also give Opposition leader Peter Dutton renewed clear air as leader of the Liberal Party and removes a potential rival.
