PM cuts visit short as feds take over aged care centre

Federal regulators have intervened in Victoria's coronavirus-ravaged private aged care centres, taking over and removing patients from a St Basil's Home for the Aged facility and appointing an infection expert to the Menarock Life centre in Essendon.
Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt said 79 of 115 St Basil's residents had been transferred out of the Fawkner facility in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
