Another positive case emerges from second AFL game
Another COVID-19 case appears to have emerged from an AFL game, this time from the match between Essendon and North Melbourne at the Marvel Stadium on the weekend.
Victorian health authorities say a person who tested positive attended the match on Sunday, 23 May.
Everyone who was seated on Level 1, between Aisles 5 and 28, and Level 3 between Aisles 6 and 29 must be tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.
Sports fans who attended the game should monitor their health and get tested immediately if they experience any symptoms of COVID-19.
It’s the second exposure warning to stem from an AFL game since Victoria’s latest COVID-19 outbreak began. A person who was infected with the virus also attended a game between Port Adelaide and Collingwood at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
For that game, Victorian health officials issued a warning for fans seated in Zone 4, Level 1, with the bays M1 to M16 listed on their match ticket. They should get tested and isolate until they get a negative result. The map at this link shows the bays in question.
