For the best part of the past two-and-half years, the Coalition has studiously avoided Jim Chalmers during question time.

Instead, it has directed most of its questions on the economy to Anthony Albanese who, it believes, is more vulnerable. More so given Chalmers is generally a good parliamentary performer who usually hits most questions over the fence.
