Cost of living will outweigh climate, even in teal seats: Dutton
Opposition Leader Peter Dutton says his rejection of Labor’s climate change target will not stop the Liberal Party winning back critical teal seats at the next election because the cost of living was cutting across all demographics.
As teal independent Kate Chaney said the reaction in her West Australian seat of Curtin was one of “incredulity”, Mr Dutton is assuring colleagues that cost-of-living pressures are across the board.
