Scott Morrison says China owes Australia an explanation after its navy threatened a Royal Australian Air Force plane last week, but he is not holding his breath waiting for one.

As the Defence Department accused China of breaching international law and lying about it, the Prime Minister questioned the professionalism of China’s navy following the incident in which a military-grade laser was directed at the RAAF surveillance aircraft from a Chinese warship in the Arafura Sea
