Has Anthony Albanese misled the public about the Chinese warships lurking last week in the Tasman Sea conducting live-fire drills?

Albanese has not told any outright lies. But he has been less than forthcoming in his answers, begging the question whether a) he wants to play “good cop” and avoid poking Beijing and alienate Chinese Australian voters; or b) he is showing a lack of attention to detail.
