Big business backs Fortress Australia, with adjustments

Australia’s leading chief executives have backed hard international borders as the best way to maintain the nation’s strong economic recovery out of the coronavirus pandemic, but say adjustments are necessary.
CEOs including Qantas chief Alan Joyce, Fortescue’s Elizabeth Gaines and Stockland’s Mark Steinert backed the Morrison government’s hardline approach, while also pushing for a safe increase in quarantine capacity.
