BHP has warned the Albanese government that its flagship Future Made in Australia policy risks being undercut by the economy’s high cost base, unproductive workplace laws, an uncompetitive tax system, and proposed environmental laws.

The country’s second-biggest company warns, “Australia’s economic engine room is facing a moment of truth” as the world shifts to the extraction of critical minerals to power green energy.
