Avalon Airport pitches 300-cabin quarantine camp

A 300-cabin quarantine facility could be built on the grounds of Melbourne’s Avalon Airport, with Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews saying the project had some real strengths and could assist stranded Australians.
As debate over hotel quarantine intensifies and the Victorian government mulls the future of its program, the Avalon proposal is the second major non-government quarantine pitch for travellers coming into the country.
